At the Sports Forum, Dušan Borovčanin, Director of EXPO 2027 Belgrade Company, in anticipation of the Belgrade Marathon, presented the plans and expectations related to the specialised EXPO exhibition in Belgrade in 2027.
"It is an honour for EXPO 2027 Belgrade to unite with the most massive sports event in our city - the Belgrade Marathon - in promoting sports and educating society about the benefits of sports for mental and physical health. We often say that Serbia is a country of sports, and I hope that together we will prove it in 2027, during the biggest event in our country,” said Dušan Borovčanin.
The Director of EXPO 2027 Belgrade added that the theme for the upcoming specialised EXPO exhibition, “Play for Humanity, Sports and Music for All”, has been chosen because as a society we have forgotten how important play actually is in our development, not only in early childhood, but throughout life. "People play in sports and music and have great results, but we also play in science, when we experiment, explore, learn and then make important discoveries," says Borovčanin. He added that during the 92 days of the exhibition, countries, regardless of their technical development, will be able to present their achievements in the most interesting way.
The topic of the third Sports Forum, an educational conference organised by the Belgrade Marathon, was the latest trends, challenges and innovations in the world of running, with a special focus on educational discussions about the significance of physical activity, but also the importance of holding major sports events for Serbia. EXPO 2027 Belgrade is pleased to support this year's Belgrade Marathon, wishing to promote the spirit of playfulness, to celebrate and promote the universal values of play, sport and music as powerful tools for cultural exchange, unity and peace, to inspire positive change, and build a more harmonious world.
